This accessibility statement applies to the A Digital Friends website at adigitalfriends.com. Our website is used by older people, families, carers and professionals, so we want it to be easy for everyone to read, understand and use, whatever device or assistive technology they rely on.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These are internationally recognised guidelines that describe how to make websites easier to use for people with a wide range of needs, including people with sight loss, hearing loss, limited movement or dexterity, and memory or learning differences.

What we have done to make the site easier to use

When building this website, we designed it so that you can:

• zoom in up to 400% without losing any content or having to scroll sideways to read text
• move around the whole site using only a keyboard, with a clear outline showing where you are on the page
• reduce movement on screen, because the site respects the reduced motion setting on your device and keeps animation to a minimum when it is switched on
• read text set in a typeface chosen for how easy it is to read
• understand our content, because we write in plain English and explain any terms we need to use
• fill in our forms with confidence, because every field has a clear label and error messages explain what needs to be changed
• telephone us instead of using a form, whenever you prefer

If we add video to the website in future, it will have captions or a transcript.

How accessible this website is

This website was built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, and we are testing it against that standard. It has not yet been independently audited.

If our testing finds any part of the site that does not yet meet the standard, we will list it here, together with what we are doing to fix it. There are no known issues listed at present.
